BIO

Jill grew up in coastal Rhode Island.  Jill's work has been shown at Jessica Hagen Fine Arts in Newport, Rhode Island, Edgewater Gallery in Middlebury, Vermont, Burlington City Arts, and many other venues.. Her awards include a Constantin Alajalov scholarship, a Winsor and Newton Emerging Artists award, a residency at Vermont Studio Center, a Basin Harbor Fellowship (Vermont), a Custom House Fellowship (Westport, Ireland), a Baer Art Center artist residency (Hofsos, Iceland), a Truro Center for the Arts residency (Cape Cod, Massachusetts), and a Jentel Arts Foundation residency (Banner, Wyoming). 

She studied Mandarin Chinese and art at Middlebury College, as well as in Hualien, Taiwan.  After a stint teaching Mandarin and art in Sitka, Alaska, Jill continued her education with post-graduate studies at The New York Studio School, and a post-baccalaureate degree in Fine Art from Brandeis University.  She holds an MFA in painting from Boston University. 

Jill currently lives and paints in Weybridge, Vermont.
